ZeroDrop Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms & P2P Architecture
By accessing or using ZeroDrop at https://zero.skillissue.gg/zero-drop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use immediately. ZeroDrop operates purely through client-side WebRTC protocols executed within your personal device browser environment.
2. Zero-Hosting Clarification
ZeroDrop is NOT a file hosting, file storage, content distribution, or cloud backup service:
- Files transferred through ZeroDrop are never uploaded to our servers, nor do they touch any centralized disk repository.
- Once both peers disconnect or terminate their browser tab, no remnant of the transfer persists on any intermediate system.
- We have no ability to recover lost files, retrieve prior clipboard history, or monitor active connections.
3. Permitted Use & User Responsibility
Because ZeroDrop provides direct encrypted transport between users without administrative filtering, users retain full, exclusive responsibility for the files and content they transmit. You explicitly agree not to use ZeroDrop for:
- Transmitting malware, ransomware, destructive payloads, or automated exploits.
- Infringing upon any third party's intellectual property rights or trade secrets.
- Exchanging unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or prohibited materials under applicable local and international statutes.
4. Cryptographic Guarantees & Integrity Verification
ZeroDrop calculates SHA-256 hashes in client memory for bit-for-bit file verification and offers optional AES-256-GCM encryption. While these cryptographic protocols adhere to modern industry standards, you acknowledge that security is also dependent on your device's operational security, browser integrity, and the discretion with which you share room codes and passphrases.
5. Intellectual Property & Academic Attribution
The interface, software architecture, and codebase of ZeroDrop were conceptualized and built by Suraj Mavuleti (Dev Zero), a software developer pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronic Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras / IITM), recognized as a GitRoll Global Top 1% Pro Developer.
All proprietary styling, brand marks, and specialized algorithms are the intellectual property of Suraj Mavuleti.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
ZeroDrop is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall Suraj Mavuleti or associated educational entities be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from data loss, network interruptions, browser incompatibilities, or unauthorized peer access.
